This page lists the changes to NovaFisko by release date, the most recent first. Each entry refers to the documentation of the feature. Changes specific to the API also have their own API changelog.
NovaFisko is updated continuously: in the browser, there is nothing to install. Reload the page to benefit from a new feature.
5 October 2026: documentation, demo and open API
New
- Documentation website in French, Dutch, English and German, with instant search, light or dark theme and printable pages. The pages also open directly from the application.
- Interactive demo: a fictitious firm and four realistic Belgian company files (restaurant, IT company, self-employed electrician, cultural association), with two fiscal years, entries, bank statements, VAT returns and documents to validate. The data is reset every night and external effects are blocked.
- Guided tour on the public website: an animated presentation of the solution in seven scenes.
- Documented public API: OpenAPI 3.1 specification, interactive reference with examples in four languages and Postman collection. See the API overview.
- Integration tokens: tokens with limited rights (read, write, synchronisation), with optional expiry and date of last use, which you create and revoke yourself. See Authentication.
- Webhooks: notification of third-party software when a document is imported or booked, an entry recorded or reversed, a bank transaction imported, a VAT return validated, a fiscal year closed, a Peppol status changed or a third party created or changed. Signed deliveries, with automatic retries. See Webhooks.
5 October 2026: history, offline, importer and Peppol
New
- Change history: every change is recorded with its author, its device and the values before and after. See Change history.
- Revert of a change or of a whole operation; a posted entry is cancelled by a reversal. See Revert.
- Trash per company file, with restore and adjustable retention period (90 days by default). See Trash.
- Activity log of the company file and of the firm. See Activity log.
- Offline mode: encrypted local copy of the company file, data entry without a connection, automatic synchronisation and conflict resolution according to priority rules. See Working offline.
- Document importer: upload of PDFs, images, UBL or CII invoices and ZIP archives, automatic analysis, suggested account allocation, validation, locked sending to Novadesko. See Document importer.
- Peppol: registration of a company file via B2Brouter, transport options, document catalogue, verification of a participant, detection of company files already registered elsewhere. See Registering a company file on Peppol.
- Peppol status of third parties, with bulk check. See Peppol status of third parties.
- Integrations catalogue: Novadesko, Peppol, file import, and announcement of Codabox, Codabill, Magello and Ponto. See Integrations catalogue.
- Company detection: search by name or by number, complete sheet from the official data, assisted entry of Belgian addresses. See Company detection.
- PDF and Excel exports: paginated statutory books with amounts carried forward, financial statements, VAT documents, third-party statements, schedule of fixed assets, with provisional or final status and fingerprint. See Books and statements.
- Annual accounts in the NBB model, abbreviated and micro schemes. See Annual accounts.
- Complete accounting file: cover PDF with integrity certificate, supporting documents and manifest of fingerprints. See Complete accounting file.
- Licence and pricing: plans, price simulator, monthly register of active company files, activation keys. See Licence and pricing.
- Enriched third-party sheet: structured contact details, entries, lettering, totals, payment reminders. See Third-party sheet.
- Appearance: twelve themes, choice of fonts, text size, density and collapsible sidebar. See Appearance and language.
- Platform emails: templates in the four languages, notification preferences per user, sending of documents by secure link.

- Journals: creation, editing and deletion of journals, account allocation rules per journal. See Journals and rules.
- Bank rules: automatic account allocation of recurring transactions. See Bank rules.
- Belgian VAT codes: credit note grids and status of the codes. See Belgian VAT codes.
- Third parties: VIES validation of the VAT number and BIC of the bank accounts.

4 October 2026: first release of the application
New
- NovaFisko application online in the browser, and desktop applications for macOS and Linux, in four languages.
- Accounting core: company files, fiscal years and periods, chart of accounts per country pack (Belgium, France, Luxembourg), journals, third parties, VAT codes.
- Bookkeeping: entries, purchase and sales invoices, miscellaneous operations, reversal. See Entries.
- Statements: trial balance, balance by period, general ledger, balance sheet and income statement, third-party balances, aged balance.
- Novadesko bridge: sign-in of the users of Novadesko accounting firms, takeover of the firm, its team members and its company files. See Importing from Novadesko.
- Synchronisation of Novadesko data: documents, bank transactions, CODA statements and fixed assets, read-only. See Novadesko integration.
- Imported documents: check of the account allocation and booking, one by one or in bulk.
- Bank: CODA files, transactions, links with invoices, automatic reconciliation. See Bank reconciliation.
- VAT: periodic return by grids, validation, Intervat XML file, annual customer listing and intra-Community listing. See VAT return.
- Recurring entries generated automatically when they fall due. See Recurring entries.
- Quality checks run continuously on the company file. See Quality checks.
- Fixed assets: straight-line or declining-balance depreciation schedule, annual or per-period depreciation charges, disposal and scrapping.
- Periods and closing: locking of periods, closing and reopening of the fiscal year, year end with closing and opening entries. See Year end.
- CSV exports and first version of the complete accounting file.
- Traceability of entries: origin of each entry (manual entry, document, bank) and link to its supporting document.
31 July 2026: foundations of the platform
